Overview Mentorship Philanthropy Stewardship Awards & Recognitions
Overview

We share a passion to do well and do good by serving as assets in the communities where we live and work.

We are committed to widening the circle of opportunities for those typically underrepresented in the real estate industry, and to strengthening our communities through philanthropic leadership and sustainable business practices.

Mentorship
The mission of our training and mentorship program is to expand the pipeline of real estate talent with the long-term goal of bringing meaningful, sustainable change to our industry. We strongly believe in mentoring the next wave of industry shaping leaders.
Summer Enrichment Program

The Artemis Summer Enrichment Program was created by Artemis Real Estate Partners in 2013 to provide opportunities to a diverse group of undergraduate students in commercial real estate. The five-week program provides rising college sophomores and juniors with experiential learning and technical training, widening the circle of opportunity for those underrepresented in the industry. Students learn critical real estate concepts, tour high-profile projects, complete the Wall Street Prep modeling boot camp and deliver capstone presentations to the Artemis Investment Committee. Many participants gain additional work experience with real estate partner firms in early August and build connections to influential leaders in the industry.

Since 2013, 187 students have participated in the program, and over 85% have been women and/or students of color. Nearly 50% of participants have gone on to internships and job placements in real estate, banking, and finance with firms such as Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Credit Suisse, Eastdil, Starwood, JP Morgan, and others. In 2022, Artemis hired two former SEP participants and recent graduates as full-time, entry-level analysts.

Partnership with PREA SEO

The Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) Foundation, chaired by Deborah Harmon, has raised over $18 million endowment to advance access and inclusion in the real estate investment community. The Foundation’s inaugural grantee was a partnership with Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) to create the PREA/SEO Real Estate Track for undergraduates. The program is one of the first of its kind in the real estate industry that works to train and place Black, Latino and Native American undergraduates for entry-level roles in the commercial real estate industry on a large scale. The Foundation has since funded additional programs, including the Real Estate Executive Council’s (REEC) Real Estate Exchange for high school students, and the Urban Alliance Property Management Pathway for careers in leasing and maintenance.

Artemis and 100% of our Emerging Managers have contributed over $1,300,000 to the PREA Foundation.
